Feruz Kurbanov

Feruz Kurbanov has more than two decades of experience in biotechnology, diagnostics, and life sciences. He began his career as a scientist, earning his Ph.D. and developing deep expertise in molecular biology, enzymology, assay development, and next-generation sequencing.

Over the course of his career, Feruz has held senior scientific and leadership roles at some of the most respected companies in the industry, including Becton Dickinson (BD), Roche, Pacific Biosciences and other innovative life science organizations. His work has spanned early research, product development, and the commercialization of diagnostic technologies used in real-world research and clinical settings.

Having spent years inside biotech and diagnostics companies, Feruz brings a rare perspective on how drugs, platforms, and technologies actually move from concept to market — and where the true scientific, regulatory, and commercial risks lie. He has been directly involved in evaluating technologies, building assays, interpreting clinical data, and supporting products through critical inflection points.

Today, Feruz uses his scientific and industry expertise to support research efforts at Brownstone Research, with a focus on biotechnology, therapeutics, diagnostics, and emerging life science platforms.

In his spare time, Feruz enjoys visiting new places with his family and playing soccer.
