The Era of AGI
OpenAI announced that Astra is a “generational leap in capability.” AGI has most certainly arrived...
An “insider” from Anthropic has quit his job – walked away from a ton of money, in fact – because they are “gambling with our lives,” he says. But there is so much more to this story…
Managing Editor’s Note: Before we get to today’s issue on the apocalyptic picture of AI being painted in the news and across social media right now…
Next Wednesday, Jeff is airing a new strategy for playing what is shaping up to be the biggest IPO season in stock market history…
He’s teaming up with a former Wall Street insider to give folks a shot at the sort of opportunity normally walled off from everyday investors… a chance to claim their fair share of the new wealth being generated in this $8.5 trillion IPO wave.

In less than 24 hours, artificial intelligence circles – and, for that matter, the internet – have blown up over a single post on X.
I’ve never seen anything like it.

Jacob Coxon, an “AI researcher,” took to X to announce he had resigned from Anthropic, the U.S. based AI safety and research company behind Claude, a family of frontier AI models and AI assistants.
They are “gambling with our lives,” Jacob Coxon said in his post.
And then he leaned in further…

Source: X @hilbertspaess
“It could kill us all by the end of the decade,” he decried… meaning within the next four years.
Regardless of what the people building AI say publicly, they “express fear privately.”
Then Coxon followed his apocalyptic warning… with his solution:

Ah, the solution is “coordination.”
He’s suggesting that we need a governing body to control this technology.
Perhaps we need “a temporary ban on improving model capabilities.”
Normally, I would ignore a decel like this. Just an AI doomer that is leaning into everyone’s fears without any substance…
But this hit like wildfire.
Coxon’s post accrued 152.4 million views of the first post in just 16 hours.
Unlike anything I’ve seen before.
It clearly hit a nerve.
At face value, it’s concerning, after all. An “insider” from Anthropic has quit his job – walked away from a ton of money, in fact – because they are “gambling with our lives.”
This “secret signal” appears before every big IPO... And it has generated some of the biggest pre-IPO trades in history. The big news is, anyone can make these trades from any regular brokerage account – starting with as little as $50. Now, on Wednesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET, Silicon Valley legend Jeff Brown and a former Wall Street IPO insider will demonstrate it on camera – and show you their #1 pre-IPO trades for the multi-trillion Anthropic IPO, the trillion-dollar OpenAI IPO, and one more IPO that could be more profitable than both combined. Register for the Super IPO Summithere...
Your bank pays you 0.4%... if you're lucky. But these big banks have been keeping a secret... one they NEVER advertise to the general public. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and JPMorgan use something called "The 29% Account." Since 2000... it has turned $1,000 into $565,000. Click here to see how you can open your own "29% Account" today...
There is so much more to this story, which is why it is worth digging deeper.
Very few people even bothered to read the rest of his posts, which he nestled in a thread…
They just looked at the first post and reacted.
Even fewer took the time to research what is actually going on.
To say it’s suspicious would be a gross understatement.
As it turns out, Jacob Coxon appears to have taken an entry-level job at Anthropic in May of this year. He resigned in roughly four months.
His tenure was extremely short.
For someone to come in at an entry-level position…
In one of the hottest companies in history…
Gain equity, knowing that Anthropic is on the verge of becoming the largest IPO in history…
Only to just throw in the towel due to discovery of an existential crisis…
It is difficult to believe.
But let’s put that aside for now. Let’s consider, instead, that Coxon had no social media presence at all and used an account on X that was opened in January of this year.
This single post – shown above – is the only post to the account. That’s it, just one. He had no other activity.
And it gets so much better…
Coxon conducted an interview with the Wall Street Journal – which published an exclusive article with him – a mere 18 minutes before Coxon’s post on X.
Anthropic Researcher Quits Over “Out-of-Control” AI Fears
Jacob Coxon, a researcher who specializes in training new AI models by having them consume vast amounts of data, said Tuesday that he is leaving the company because he doesn’t want to participate in an industrywide rush to build AI systems that can improve themselves, worried such systems could spiral out of control and destroy humanity.
Coxon then gets coverage on CNN and other mainstream media outlets immediately thereafter.
This demonstrates that this drama was clearly premeditated and coordinated with the mainstream media to extend the reach.
In a matter of hours, this single post – from an account that had no followers and just a single post – suddenly had tens of thousands of reposts.
It doesn’t happen like this. This isn’t natural. It’s not organic traffic.
And it gets worse.
Shortly after Coxon posted on X, three accounts immediately reposted it.
Those first three reposts were all done by representatives from AI policy organizations, all with the shared goal of protecting us all from the risks of AI, namely Encode AI, AI Policy Network, and AI Futures Project.
All three are lobbying for restrictions on AI development.
After that, it was an absolute pile-on from a certain class of politicians, with comments like the one shown below.
There are simply too many to share, but there was clearly coordination on messaging.

Then, last night, it was revealed that Coxon is a “fellow” of the Newspeak House circa 2021, part of the London College of Political Technology.

Source: Newspeak House
This organization is a pretty radical British NGO that focuses on things like “computational propaganda,” “democracy tech projects,” “collective transformation,” “para-institutions,” “prison abolition,” “abolitionist community-based harm prevention and response,” and “extinction rebellion.”
“Influence campaigns” and “hacking democracy” are supposed to be Newspeak House’s area of specialty.
I won’t speak for anyone else, but these kinds of organizations that use “computational propaganda” to try and manipulate the public to support prison abolition, or the elimination of freedom of speech, or to censor ideas and information that they don’t agree with, are evil and destructive to society.
It appears so obvious to me that Mr. Coxon was an intended plant into Anthropic, and his “resignation” and post on X were part of a well-planned and coordinated propaganda event with corporate media, AI policy organizations that want to decelerate and control AI, and, of course, the class of politicians that wants to control the development of artificial intelligence.
What we have watched unfold in the last 24 hours is nothing but propaganda – a psychological operation designed to evoke fear and manipulate the public into handing over the reins of AI to some kind of government-controlled oversight organization.
The only thing I don’t know is whether or not Anthropic was in on the ruse.
Anthropic has a history of stoking fears of AI getting out of control and pushing for AI safety, which it has proven to be horrible at doing.
As for why a company like Anthropic would like this kind of outcome, the answer is simple: regulatory capture.
If Anthropic, and perhaps OpenAI, are aligned with the deep state in Washington, D.C., it acts as a moat for AI development. It puts them in a strategic position of control.
And those that control some kind of AI governing body also have control and access to cash flows related to their businesses, which obviously can be used to enrich themselves.
Just look at the corruption that took place during the pandemic or the conflict in Ukraine. Perfect examples that should never happen again.
To be completely fair, there is a non-zero chance that things go horribly wrong with artificial superintelligence (ASI), but the likely outcome is a world of abundance and opportunity, as well as greatly improved quality of life and human longevity.
That is worth fighting for.
And this happens by empowering industry to build and produce what society needs in a supportive regulatory environment.
And in a perfect world, that would happen in a way that allows all self-directed investors to participate in investing in private companies so that they can enjoy the upside of these incredible breakthroughs. On that point, there is still work to be done.
Our biggest fear should be precisely what Coxon and his overseers are pushing for: Some kind of AI governance agency or world order, designed to “keep us all safe.”
It’s the kind of new world order that organizations like the World Economic Forum (WEF) had been aggressively pushing for with its “own nothing and be happy” nonsense.
This is the stuff of Star Chambers, elite cabals of billionaires who want complete control, and politicians/bureaucrats who want to enrich themselves by controlling the productive class.
We cannot fall for this. We need to see it for what it is.
And we need to build the technology for a better world, unhindered by those intending to harm.
If we stay sharp, we have so much to look forward to,
Jeff
